Combine the apples, water, sugar, cinnamon and salt in a pan. Cook until the apples are tender and falling apart. Separate the biscuits. Place on a floured work surface and roll with a rolling pin to about a 4-inch diameter. Place a saucer over the dough and use it as a guide to trim the dough in a circle. Place 2 tablespoons of apple mixture on one side of each dough circle. Fold the dough over to enclose the filling. Crimp the edges with a fork. Prick the top with a fork. Fry in hot oil in a skillet until golden brown. Makes 10 servings.
