Barbecued Rabbit

Combine the onions, garlic, bell peppers, water, vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, butter, salt and cayenne pepper in a saucepan and mix will. Cook over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Arrange the rabbit in a baking pan in a single layer. Pour the sauce over the rabbit. Bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours or until the rabbit is tender, turning occasionally. Makes 6 servings.

2 onions, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
3 bell peppers, minced
1 cup water
1 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cut Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 dressed wild rabbits, cut into serving pieces
